PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

With H.R.1, aka the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (“OBBBA”) in effect as of January 1, 2026, this program will look at what is staying the same, what has changed, and what we need to know as we work with donors and clients under the new tax law. Topics covered will include information on tax brackets and deductions, estate planning implications, timely giving options, and expected giving trends in 2026. 

PRESENTER'S BIO:

Steven is a Senior Principal in Cerity Partner’s Louisville office. In this role, he manages and leads the team that is primarily responsible for helping clients with their estate planning needs and carrying out their legacy goals. Steven’s focus is primarily on ultra-high-net-worth clients.

Prior to joining Cerity Partners, Steven served as an Estate Planning Specialist & Financial Advisor at ARGI Financial Group. Before ARGI, he worked for PNC Wealth Management as a Wealth Strategist, preparing comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth clients with a specific focus on advanced planning strategies for executives, legacy wealth families, and business owners. Prior to PNC, he was a summer Associate for two local law firms while attending law school.
